About Me
I’ve always loved drawing ever since I can remember. Art has always been my go-to no matter where my life takes me at the moment. But the death of my firstborn son placed me in a world I’ve never known—the world of grief. Now I create with a mission. Each piece I work on feels like a layer for me to peel off to understand how to navigate the complexities of happiness and sorrow we call life.
Each portrait I paint and draw tells me their unsaid stories of innocence, sadness, and moments of joy through their eyes, lips, smiles, wrinkles and freckles, and marks of bravery along the contour of their faces. My son’s death forced me to appreciate every little detail that my subject brings. And it is my honor to show them in all of their glory.
